Sloppy Joes for Easter? Some folks don't like to cook all day and don't have a big family. This is quick and easy!

Easy Easter Sloppy Joes Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 lb Lean ground beef
  • 1 md Onion, chopped
  • 1 md Green bell pepper, chopped
  • 30 oz Tomato sauce
  • 2 tb Light or dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 ts Garlic powder
  • 1/2 ts Salt
  • 1/4 ts Black pepper
  • 6 To 8 sandwich or hamburger buns, split

Directions:

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with the onion and green pepper over medium high heat for 7 to 9 minutes; drain off the excess liquid.
  2. Add the tomato sauce, sugar, garlic powder, salt, and pepper; mix well.
  3. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Serve over the hamburger buns.
