Icebox Oatmeal Cookies


1 cup shortening
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
1 cup nuts, chopped
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. soda
3 cups oatmeal


Mix and cream sugar and shortening; add eggs then flour, soda and salt; add oatmeal. Knead to mix then add nuts.

Roll in two rolls of waxed paper and let set overnight in refrigerator. Slice and bake in 350 degrees oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
