Brown Sugar Chewies

Ingredients:

• 1 egg
• 1/4 tsp. salt
• 1/4 tsp. soda
• 1 cup packed brown sugar
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 1/2 cup sifted flour
• 1 cup coarsely chopped nuts (pecans)
  

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Stir egg, sugar, and vanilla. Then add flour, salt, soda, then the nuts.
3. Bake 18 to 20 min. at 350* they should be soft when taken out of oven, cut into squares when cool.
