Shrimp Creole

This Creole style shrimp is made with Shrimp, tomato sauce, pepper sauce, vegetables and more. Easily microwaved.

Ingredients:

  • 4 Tbsp. oil1 onion, minced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. parsley, minced
  • 1 chicken bouillon cube
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 4 dashes hot pepper sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 cup (8 oz.) okra, canned in vegetable sauce
  • 9 oz. Shrimp, cleaned & deveined
  • 1 1/2 cups cooked rice

Directions:

  1. Combine oil, onions, peppers and tomato sauce in a 1-quart casserole.
  2. Cover and cook in microwave for 4 minutes.
  3. Rotate dish 1/2 turn, stir and cook 2 minutes.
  4. Add remaining ingredients, except rice.
  5. Cook uncovered 6 minutes.
  6. Stir in Shrimp and cook 3 minutes or until Shrimp are pink.
  7. Do not overcook shrimp as they will become rubbery
  8. Serve over rice if desired.
