Chocolate Marshmallow Krispy Bars

Brownie Layer:
3/4 c. butter or margarine, softened
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3 TBS. cocoa powder
1/2 c. chopped nuts, optional
4 c. mini marshmallows

Topping:
1 1/3 c. chocolate chips
3 TBS. butter
1 c. peanut butter
2 c. Rice Krispies cereal

Cream butter and sugar together thoroughly. Add eggs and vanilla; beat until fluffy. Combine flour, baking powder, salt and cocoa; add to creamed mixture. Fold in nuts. Spread in greased 11x17 pan.

Bake at 350° for 15-18 minutes. Immediately sprinkle marshmallows evenly over top. Return to oven for 2 minutes to slightly melt. Use knife to spread evenly. Cool.

Combine chocolate chips, butter and peanut butter in saucepan. Stir constantly over low heat until melted. Remove from heat and stir in Rice Krispies. Spread over top of bars.
