Garden Turkey Burgers



  • 1 Egg White
  • 1/4 c Fine dry bread Crumbs
  • 1/4 c Finely shredded Carrot
  • 1/4 c Finely chopped Onion
  • 1/4 c Finely chopped Green Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 1/8 tsp. Pepper
  • 2 tb Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 lb. Ground Turkey or Lean Beef
  • 1 Med Tomato, sliced


  1. In a large bowl combine egg white and bread crumbs. if using beef, stir in 2 T water)
  2. Stir in carrot, onion, green pepper, salt, and pepper. Add Parmesan cheese and ground meat; mix well.
  3. Shape meat mixture into four 3/4" thick patties.
  4. Spray a cold grill rack with Pam, and place rack on grill.
  5. Grill burgers on an uncovered grill directly over medium coals for 7 minutes.
  6. Turn and grill 8-11 minutes or till no pink remains.
  7. Place 1 tomato slice atop each burger and grill 1 minute more.
