David's Creamy Turkey Thighs

These turkey thighs made by my brother David, are amazingly tender, flavorable and oh so creamy!

Serve the creamy gravy over cooked rice, with green beans and potatoes on the side.

 David's Creamy Turkey Thighs Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3 pounds turkey thighs
  • 1 small onion
  • minced garlic to taste
  • garlic powder to taste
  • garlic salt to taste
  • white or black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup of water
  • 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup
  • fresh mushrooms

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Season thighs making sure to cover all of the turkey thighs well.
  3. Place in baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle minced garlic over the top of the thighs.
  5. Add the water to the baking dish around the thighs.
  6. Check water every hour, adding more if needed.
  7. After 2 hours, remove from oven and add 2 cans of  cream of mushroom soup adding water if needed.
  8. Cook for 1 hour more.
  9. About 15 minutes before time is up, add fresh mushrooms over the top.
  10. Remove from oven and enjoy!
