Microwave White Cake

Easily make this white cake in the microwave! You need flour, sugar, baking powder, milk and more to make this delicious cake.

Ingredients:

  • 1 c Flour
  • 2/3 c Sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. Baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 1/2 tsp. Vanilla or almond ext.
  • 1/3 c Shortening
  • 1/3 c Milk
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 Egg whites (1/4 cup)

Directions:

  1. Place all ingredients in mixing bowl.
  2. Blend at low speed, then beat at medium speed 2 minutes.
  3. Spread batter in 9-inch round baking dish.
  4. Microwave at 50 percent power 6 minutes, rotate 1/4 turn every 3 minutes.
  5. Increase power to High. Microwave 2 to 5 minutes or until done.
  6. Immediately sprinkle with graham cracker crumbs if desired.
  7. Let stand directly on counter 5 to 10 minutes.

Makes one layer.
