Beefy Spaghetti Sauce

This spaghetti sauce contains ground beef, onions, garlic, tomatoes, oregano, and more. Very easy and flavorful sauce.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 lb. Ground beef
  • 1/2 c Chopped onion
  • 2 Cloves garlic; minced
  • 1 can (28-oz) tomatoes
  • 2 can (8-oz) tomato sauce
  • 2 tsp. Salt
  • 2 tsp. Oregano
  • 1/4 tsp. Basil
  • 1/4 tsp. Ground thyme
  • Freshly ground pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Crumble beef into 1-quart casserole. Add onion and garlic.
  2. Cook uncovered about 6 minutes, stirring to break up meat.
  3. Add remaining ingredients (break up tomatoes with fork or potato masher).
  4. Cook, covered, about 15 minutes until mixture is well blended and slightly thickened.
  5. Let stand 5 minutes.
  6. Serve piping hot over spaghetti.

Makes about 2 quarts.
