Delicious macaroni and cheese that you make right in your microwave. The spices and a dash of Tabasco sauce makes this extra good!
1 c Uncooked macaroni
2 tb Flour
1/4 c Chopped onion
1 tsp. Salt
1 ds Tabasco
1 c Milk
1 c Water
2 tb Butter
1 c Cubed cheese
In 2-quart casserole, combine macaroni, flour, onion, salt and Tabasco.
Stir in milk and water. Dot with butter.
Cook in microwave, uncovered, 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Stir in cheese and let stand 3-5 minutes to finish cooking and melt cheese.
Note: For additional flavor and color, add 2 Tablespoons chopped pimiento, 2 Tablespoons chopped parsley or 1 teaspoon dry mustard.
Makes 2-3 servings.
