Cinnamon Rice

Recipe

This rice is made in the microwave with water and fat free rice milk. Flavored with cinnamon and nutmeg. Serve hot or cold.

Ingredients:

  • 1 c Rice
  • 3 cups Liquid (2 1/2 Cups water and 1/2 cup of fat-free rice milk
  • Cinnamon
  • Sugar
  • Nutmeg

Directions:

  1. In an uncovered microwavable dish, combine rice and liquid.
  2. Set timer for 18 minutes on HIGH power. Start.
  3. Once the mixture starts to boil over (this is the inexact point), switch power to medium and continue the remaining time.
  4. Let mixture sit about 5 minutes to allow liquid to absorb.
  5. Dish into a bowl and and sugar (optional), nutmeg, and cinnamon.
  6. You can add extra milk at this point.

This dish is great served cold also.
