4 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 pound ground beef, cooked, crumbled and drained
1 large onion, chopped
3 large potatoes, cubed
4 cups cabbage, shredded
3 beef bouillon cubes
3 cups water
1 large can crushed tomatoes or 1 quart tomato juice
1 (16 ounce) can kidney beans
season to taste
Place the bacon and ground beef in a large kettle.
Add the rest of the ingredients. Simmer until all is tender, about 45 minutes to an hour.
Serves 6 to 8.
