German Stew



  • 8 oz ground turkey or beef (90% lean)
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 2 cups Bavarian Style sauerkraut, drained (or regular sauerkraut)
  • 1 3/4 cups Hunt's chunky tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar Twin
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes


  1. In a large skillet sprayed with cooking spray, brown meat and onion.
  2. Add rice, sauerkraut, tomato sauce, water, Brown Sugar Twin and parsley flakes.
  3. Mix well to combine.
  4. Lower heat.
  5. Simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Recipe serves 4.
