Cajun Fried Sweet Potato Fries Recipe

Cajun Fried Sweet Potato Fries

These Cajun sweet potatoes are simple to make and will make your mouth water!

You will need one sweet potato for each person.

First you take the sweet potatoes and bake them in the oven at 375 to 400 degree F for about 45 minutes.

Then let cool, peel each one, and slice into strips lengthwise, just like a regular french fry.
Next, drop the fries into hot oil, and fry them up until golden brown. Drain.

That's it! You can season them with salt, or as a lot of places here in Louisiana do, serve them sprinkled with powdered sugar! I've had them both ways, and I happen to like them with a little powdered sugar, instead of salt.

Not sure which way your family or guests will like them? Leave off the salt, or sugar, and let them choose!

Comments:
Sounds tasty! I tried sweet potato fries but did them differently. They were OK but really hard to cut up since I didn't cook them first. Can you tell I don't eat sweet potatoes? heheh..

Mmm... I am drooling already. I will definitely let you know when I try them. If you happen to read my recent meal planning post you'll know that I've got the next two weeks planned, but might have to squeak them in sooner since I just don't know if I can wait!
