Black and White Nut Bars

Black and White Nut Bars Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 C. butter or margarine
  • 2 C. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 C. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 C. chopped nuts
  • 2 squares unsweetened chocolate

Directions:

  1. Cream butter, sugar and vanilla adding eggs, one at a time, beating well. Add flour, salt. Stir in nuts.
  2. Divide batter in half and add cooled melted chocolate to one lot.
  3. Drop batter alternately by spoonful's into greased 13"x9"x2" pan. Run knife through batter to create marble effect.
  4. Bake in moderate oven (350) for 30 minutes.
  5. Cool and ice with chocolate icing of your choice.
