Cherry Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

• 2/3 C. shortening
• 2/3 C. butter
• 1 C. granulated sugar
• 1 C. packed brown sugar
• 2 eggs
• 2 tsp. vanilla extract
• 3 C. all-purpose flour
• 1 tsp. baking soda
• 1 tsp. salt
• 2 C. cherry chips
  

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 375ºF.
2. In a large bowl, cream together the shortening, butter and sugars. Add 2 eggs and vanilla extract; mix well.
3. Sift together the flour, baking soda and salt; stir this into the creamed mixture. Finally stir in the cherry chips.
4. Drop cookies by rounded spoonful's onto cookie sheet, and bake for 8 to 10 minutes
5. Edges should be golden brown.
