Gateau De Sirop (Syrup Cake)
This cake uses pure cane syrup, nutmeg, cinnamon, and more
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups PURE CANE
- 4 cups sifted flour
- 2 teaspoons soda
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon cloves
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
butter until soft, add sugar and blend well. Add eggs and mix. Add milk, syrup,
flour, soda and spices and mix until well blended.
- Pour into
13x9x2 inch pan which has been lined with greased waxed paper. Be sure pan is
at least two inches deep as this cake will rise up fully to 2 inches.
- Bake 55 minutes to 1 hour (or until cake springs back when touched with finger
- Cool in pan and turn out.
