Big Easy Party Shrimp

You don't have to be in the Big Easy (New Orleans) to enjoy these delicious shrimp, make them yourself with this recipe!

Big Easy Party Shrimp (New Orleans)

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound shrimp, de-headed but with shells on
  • 1 1/2 cup vermouth
  • 3/4 pound butter
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • lemon juice to taste

Directions:

  1. Cut garlic in small pieces.
  2. Melt butter in skillet and add salt and pepper and garlic. Saute until garlic is brown.
  3. Add shrimp and cook until they are pink, about 10 minutes.
  4. Add vermouth and continue cooking for 12 minutes on low heat.
  5. Add lemon juice. Let simmer about five minutes.
  6. Sop juice with French bread and also use to dip shrimp back into once you peel them.
