Maraschino Pecan Bread

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 tb Dry milk
  • 1 1/4 ts Salt
  • 1 1/8 c Water
  • 1 tb Butter
  • 1/4 c Maraschino cherries
  • 1/4 c Pecans, chopped
  • 1/4 c Raisins
  • 1/4 c Sunflower seeds
  • 1/8 ts Ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 ts Ground ginger
  • 2 tb Sugar
  • 2 ts Yeast, fast rise or machine
  • 3 c White bread flour
  • 3 ts Yeast, active dried

Directions:

  1. Drain cherries well on paper towel; add cherries whole for appearance.
  2. Add the fruit & nuts at the beep, on the fruit & nut cycle or at the end of the first knead.
  3. You can replace half the cherries with chopped dried apricots, pears, dates or apples.
  4. Use regular, rapid or delayed time bake cycle. 3 ts Yeast, active dry - or - 2 ts Yeast, fast rise or machine

Makes 1 loaf of Maraschino Pecan bread.
