Cottage Dill Bread
- 1 tb Butter1 tb Dry milk
- 1 tb Sugar
- 1 ts Salt
- 1 ts Yeast, fast rise or machine
- 1/2 c Water
- 1/2 tb Dill seed
- 1/2 tb Dill weed
- 1/2 tb Dry onion
- 1/4 c Cottage cheese
- 2 c White bread flour
- 2 ts Yeast, active dry
- Use small curd,
low fat cottage cheese. The liquid in cottage cheese varies.
your dough is too dry, try adding water, a tablespoon at a time, during
the kneading until dough appears moist and pliable.
- Use regular
or rapid bake cycle. 2 ts Yeast, active dry - or - 1 ts Yeast, fast rise
Makes 1 loaf of cottage dill bread.
This bread will make a bread machine believer out of anyone. The aroma is
heaven, and the taste lives up to the aroma.
Cottage Dill is best served
warm from the oven or toaster; the heat liberates the spices for
a full, rich flavor.
