Irish Hot Pot Recipe, Counting Blondes Joke... - February 14, 2005

Hi Y'all,

Happy Valentine's Day!

We hope you all have a great day today! Georgette is expecting roses from Grady and Ditsy, I'll let you know how that goes!
Today's Recipe:

Irish Hot Pot Recipe

6 md Potatoes peeled and sliced-thin
2 md Onions sliced thin
3 Carrots scraped and sliced-thin
1/4 c Cooked rice not instant
1 cn (14.5-oz) peas with liquid
1 pk (20-oz) sausage links or ground chuck browned in-amounts you like
1 cn (15-oz) condensed cream of-tomato soup diluted with a-soup can
of water
Salt and white pepper to taste

In a buttered, 4 quart casserole layer the potatoes, onions and
carrots, season each layer as you go with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with rice, then the peas with their liquid and top with the meat.
Pour the diluted soup over all. Bake, covered, in a 375 degree oven for 1 hour. Remove cover, turn sausages and bake an additional hour, uncovered.
Requested by Rhuffman under Request Recipes at the message board, and we also posted it at the cooking blog:

Still no answer for Jana, anyone have any ideas?

Requested by Jana under Request Recipes at the message board, and also posted at the cooking blog.

Today's Joke Posted At The Message Board By Admin-Thanks!

Counting Blondes Joke

A group of blondes were willing to prove that not all blondes
were dumb. They established a judges panel of people to ask the questions. On the day of the judging the people started off by asking, "What is 59+2?"
The first blonde contestant responded by saying, "57?"
The rest of the blondes said, "Give her another chance, give
her another chance!"
Then they asked, "What is 15-5?"
The blonde responded, "20 right?"
Once again the rest of the contestants screamed, "Give her
another chance, give her another chance!"
