Father's Day Cake Recipe, Why Parents Drink Joke...
Hi Y'all,

Looks like another hot day here already, I think it skipped Spring here and went straight to Summer, yuk! I Think I want to go back to Washington! I was actually only there for a few days all in all, but when I got back here to Louisiana, the heat just slapped me in the face!

Doubleduceuno's recipe for Cajun-Mex Pinto Beans received a rating of
5, that's great! Thanks for helping us rate it.

Today's Recipe:

Father's Day Necktie Cake

Mix cake mix following the package directions.
Pour batter into 1 cupcake holder, and the remainder into a
rectangular pan.

Bake according to directions, and allow to cool.

Remove the cake from the pan, and cut in half lengthwise.
Lay the pieces end to end on cardboard, or a cookie sheet.
Place the cupcake at one end of the cake. Cut the other end of the cake into a V-shape.

Frost the cake and decorate with M & Ms or other candies to make it look like a tie.

Today's joke posted at the message board by Dweldon, thanks so much!

Why Parents Drink

The boss of a big company needed to call one of his employees about an urgent problem with one of the main computers, dialed the employee's home phone number and was greeted with a child's whisper.

"Is your daddy home?" he asked.
"Yes," whispered the small voice.
"May I talk with him?"
The child whispered, "No."
Surprised, and wanting to talk with an adult, the boss asked, "Is your Mommy there?"

"May I talk with her?"
Again the small voice whispered, "No."
Hoping there was somebody with whom he could leave a message, the boss asked, "Is anybody else there?"

"Yes," whispered the child, "a policeman."
Wondering what a cop would be doing at his employee's home, the boss asked, "May I speak with the policeman?"

"No, he's busy", whispered the child.
"Busy doing what?"
"Talking to Daddy and Mommy and the Fireman," came the whispered answer...
