Chili Stack Recipe, Cajun Joke...
Hi Y'all,

How was your weekend? Ours was pretty good. Didn't do too much, but
that's the way we like it!

We hope you have a great week, at least Monday is almost over!

Today's Recipe:

Chili Stack

1 lb Ground beef
1 tb Chili powder
2 tb Shortening
1 ts Salt
1 Onion, chopped fine
Dash of pepper
1 cl Garlic, chopped fine
1 #2 1/2 can tomatoes
1 Green bell pepper, chopped
1/2 c Grated sharp Cheddar cheese
2 tb Flour

Add shortening to skillet. Heat to medium high. When shortening is
browned, add meat and cook until crumbly. Next, blend flour through the
mixture. Add remaining ingredients, except cheese. Lower heat to simmer.
Cook 30 minutes. Just before serving, stir in cheese. Delicious served
on toast. Serves 4 to 5.

Requests From Readers, Can You Please Try And Help Them Out? The
requests are posted at the message board under request recipes.

Mmlsnyder asks: "I read in a novel about Louisiana a list of Cajun
foods that they were eating at a party. two that were mentioned were "
limping Susan" and "lazy chicken". What are these please?"

Emma asks: "I would love to have the weight watchers onion soup
recipe. .....where can I find it? Thank you"
*Note, the title of her email was Applebee's. I don't eat there
often, so I am not sure if that is what she meant or not!

Brenda asks: "I ate a shrimp dish at Bubba Gump's in New Orleans...
they called it bar-b-q shrimp but it had a sauce over rice that was
so fine. Do you have this recipe?"

Today's Joke sent to us by Johnny, thanks!

Cajun Joke

Boudreaux was sitting in the City Bar in Maurice, Louisiana, one
Saturday night, and had several beers under his belt. After a while,
he looked at the guy sitting next to him, and asked him, "Hey, you
wanna hear a good Aggie joke, you?"
The big guy replied, "Let me tell you something. I'm an oil field
roughneck, I weigh 270 pounds, and I don't like Cajuns. My buddy here
is a pro football player, weighs 300 pounds, and he doesn't like
Cajuns either...
