Chocolate Popcorn Squares

Make these popcorn squares coated in chocolate right in your microwave. Easy and delicious.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pack Microwave popcorn; popped
  • 2 tb Butter or margarine
  • 10 1/2 oz. Mini marshmallows
  • 1/4 c Chocolate ready-to-spread frosting
  • 1/2 c Salted peanuts

Chocolate Glaze

  • 1/3 c Chocolate ready-to-spread frosting

Directions:

  1. Grease 9x13" pan.
  2. Remove and discard un-popped kernels from popcorn.
  3. Place margarine in 4-qt microwavable bowl. Microwave, uncovered, on HIGH, for about 30 seconds, or until melted.
  4. Stir in marshmallows and frosting until marshmallows are coated. Microwave, uncovered, 2-3 minutes, stirring every minutes, just until mixture is smooth.
  5. Fold in peanuts and popcorn until coated.
  6. Press mixture into pan.
  7. Spread with chocolate glaze; cool.
  8. Cut into bars.

Chocolate Glaze:

  1. Place ready to spread frosting in small microwavable bowl.
  2. Microwave, on HIGH, about 30 seconds or until just melted.
