Quick Meat Ball Stroganoff

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup soft bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 1 teaspoon shortening
  • 1 can (10 ounce) mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon minced onion
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Directions:

  1. Combine beef, egg, crumbs, 1/4 cup of water, salt, and pepper.
  2. Form into balls about the size of golf balls.
  3. Brown on all sides in the shortening.
  4. Drain of excess fat and push meat balls to one side of pan.
  5. Add soup, 1/2 cup of water, ketchup, onions, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder. Mix well.
  6. Simmer 5 minutes.
  7. Blend in sour cream and heat thoroughly.
  8. Serve over hot rice or noodles.

This ground beef recipe serves 4 to 5.
