Original Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs
12 ounces Nestlé Toll House semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup nuts, chopped
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a small bowl and set aside.
In large bowl, mix butter and sugars until creamy. Add vanilla extract and eggs and mix until well blended. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chips and nuts. Drop by rounded measuring tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 9 to 11 minutes until edges are golden brown. Let stand for 2 minutes.
