Swedish Limpa Bread

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 ts Salt
  • 1 tb Honey
  • 1 tb Molasses
  • 1 tb Orange peel
  • 1/2 c Rye flour
  • 1/2 c Water
  • 1/2 ts Anise seed
  • 1/2 ts Cardamom
  • 2 1/2 c White bread flour
  • 2 tb Butter
  • 2 tb Dry milk
  • 2 ts Yeast, fast rise or machine
  • 3 ts Yeast, active dry
  • 3/4 c Flat ale

Directions:

  1. You can produce flat ale by opening a dark beer and stirring until the bubbles disperse. Scoop off residual foam before measuring ale.
  2. This recipe can be made with the regular or rapid bake cycle. 3 ts Yeast, active dry - or - 2 ts Yeast, fast rise or machine.

Recipe yields 1 loaf of Swedish Limpa Bread.
