Garlic Chicken Recipe, Flat Tire Joke...August 22 2005

Hi Y'all,

A big welcome to all of our new members, and a great thank you for the
ones that have stuck with us!

I am back from Washington, and had a wonderful time there! The weather was a lot different, nice and sunny most of the time, cool enough to sleep with the windows open! Try that here in Louisiana and you end up a big ball of sweat this time of year! :o)

* With holidays right around the corner, we have set up a free
greeting card service! We have everyday cards, holiday cards, romantic
cards, and much more here

Today's Recipe:

Garlic Chicken

Saute in olive oil:
10 cloves chopped garlic
1/2 c. chopped fresh parsley

Add:
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
2 (60 oz.) tomatoes, chopped
3 cups cooked chicken, cubed

Other ingredients:
3 green peppers, cut into strips
1 pound Italian sausage
2 cups chicken broth
1 pound pasta (your choice)

Cook uncovered, simmer for 1 hour. In a separate pan, saute the green
peppers. Slice sausage into small pieces and cook with peppers until
pink is gone. Add sausage to sauce with chicken and peppers and 1 to
2 sups chicken broth. Mix with pasta and serve.

*This is a great recipe idea for Labor Day!

Today's joke was posted by Old CooT at the message board, thanks so much!

The flat tire

A Louisiana man had a flat tire, pulled off on the side of the road,
and proceeded to put a boquet of flowers in front of the car and one
behind the car.

Then he got back in the car to wait. A passerby studied the scene as
he drove by and was so curious he turned around and went back. He
asked the fellow what the problem was.

The man replied, " I have a flat tire....
